Last Monday was the day that Kylie had been waiting for for the past 6 months. She finally turned "flee"! She woke up in a great mood, spent the day with Grandma Rosie and Camryn and then we finally got to spend some time with her once we all got home. After eating her dinner of choice (mac and cheese with hot dogs), the four of us gathered in the living room so that she could open her gifts. Her eyes lit up as one by one she opened her newest treasures. Her favorite gift this year was her giant, purple, bouncy ball. We finished off the night with her second cake and ice cream. With both of the girls completely stuffed, they snuggled in their beds and were off to dream land within minutes.
The Saturday before we had the whole gang (family from both sides) over for a pool party to celebrate her upcoming birthday. Kylie had an excellent day until it came time for us to sing Happy Birthday to her. Every year she has reacted the same way when it came time to sing; all out crying. Apparently she doesn't like to have all of the attention put on her! After we were finished singing, she helped blow out her candle and devoured her cake and ice cream. Thank you to everyone who helped our little girl celebrate in style! Here are some pictures from her birthday:
