New Additions to the Family!

While cleaning out some closets this past weekend, we came across the fish tank that we used to use when we had a beta when we were first dating. Needless to say, that fish is long gone and now that we rediscovered our tank, we decided that the girls were big enough to have some new pets of their own. We went to the pet store and the girls wanted EVERYTHING! We settled on 2 guppies, one is yellow and white and the other is orange and white. Once we had the tank in order and the fish acclimated to the new water temperature I asked the girls what they wanted to name their fish. Camryn came up with Lana (named after her swim teacher, Alana) and Kylie came up with Kiko (which I assume is named after Tico, from Dora the Explorer, but who really knows where Kylie comes up with anything...). It's been fun to watch them get so excited to feed the fish every morning and night (if they had it their way, they would feed the fish every time they looked at them, hence why the fish food is no longer on their dresser, but on top of the fridge!). I wonder how long it will take before Kylie tries to pet her fish and we find water everywhere...stay tuned!
