What a Big Girl!

I have been whining and whining for the past 6 months that I didn't think that Camryn would ever get potty trained and it looks as though my whining days have come to an end...at least as far as this issue is concerned! We started trying to potty train Camryn when she turned 2 in March and for a couple of days it seemed as though she was starting to understand the process...or so I thought. She would sit on the toilet and sometimes she would actually go, but the number of times that she actually went were far less than the number of attempts--we spent countless hours in the bathroom for not a lot of success. It got to the point where she would sit on the potty for a half hour at a time without going and then the second we put a diaper on she would go in the diaper. We let it go until a few weeks ago when we decided to try the method that mom used to train us. We spent one full day each weekend trying and then we would let it go until the next weekend. We did this two times and on the third try (this past Sunday) she finally got it! We have only had a few accidents since Sunday and I couldn't be more proud of her!! She loves her big girl underwear and will even go in the bathroom and go all by herself--it is quite cute when she comes running out of the bathroom half naked to tell me she went poopie!! What a BIG GIRL!!
